SUVLA WINES / SUSTAINABILITY
Carpenter Workshop
Carpenter Workshop
While supporting the production structure in the winery in the Eceabat region, Suvla has established structures focused on both fast and effective solutions. Considering both the cyclical and continuous structure of production and the re-evaluation of the materials coming to the winery, two workshops have been established to support the operation and ensure effective use and transformation in waste material management.
Suvla’s local craftsmanship and circular economy perspective: Re-evaluation
CONTRIBUTION TO LOCAL ECONOMY, LABOR USE, PRODUCTIVITY, CIRCULAR ECONOMY PERSPECTIVE
Wood and Metal Workshops contribute to the local economy by employing experts in the region full-time, while also improving the process in their own work, without wasting time, and supporting the production structure. Excess wood from pallets is transformed into accessories for our retail sales points.
Upcycling and circular economy perspective is in Suvla’s DNA
- Wine bottling materials are mostly brought to the winery on 120X100 format pallets.
- In the transportation and logistics of Suvla’s wines, the general industry standard 120×80 format is used.
- The Carpenter’s shop converts 120×100 pallets to 120×80 format and converts the remaining outputs into accessories.
METAL WORKSHOP
In the Metal Workshop, the ongoing instant or planned needs of the winery are re-evaluated within the framework of efficient use of the materials at hand and transformed into new forms. For example; the walkways in new tank placements have the capacity to be planned and produced in the metal workshop within the winery.
